Overview

Rakaposhi is the world's 25th tallest mountain and one of the most beautiful peaks in the Karakoram. In the past, the Germans and British mostly used two primary basecamps.
This is one of the quickest and simplest hikes leading to base camps on over 7000m Karakoram peaks, with a panoramic vista from Rakaposhi to Diran. The Minapin Glacier flows down from the Rakaposhi and Diran glaciers' 16-kilometer-long fluted snowy crest.
The short and simple trip from Minapin to Rakaposhi Base Camp, also known as Tagaphari, is a wonderful start to Karakorum hiking, which is a relatively gentle excursion in the Karakorum Mountains.
