The Khewra Salt Mine, also known as the Mayo Salt Mine, is located in Khewra, a subdivision of Pakistan's Punjab Region's Jhelum District, to the north of Pind Dadan Khan. The mine is located in the Indo-Gangetic Plain's Potohar plateau's Salt Range

This collection of temples was built to honor the Pandawa brothers of "Mahabharta," who are said to have visited the location. According to legend, this is the area that the epic refers to as Dvaitavana. The Pandavas dwelt here during their exile, and this is also where the Yakshahs and Pandawas exchanged a string of interrogative statements. According to legend, the Pandavas lived in the area of the Sath Ghara or Seven Temples during their 12-year exile.
